Make a “Mark” with your Logo!

We struggled with exactly how to describe the kind of services we could offer you to make your existing image (or non-existent image) really stand out. Everyone knows what a graphic designer does right? He/She designs graphics!

Then we realized  -a great example of what we can help you with exists right here – with our site! We started out with the basic Atahualpa theme framework and then worked on both the color palate  we liked and a logo that we felt represented our image (Or as the out of touch would say – our “brand” – but we think that’s soooo, 2008!)

If you don’t have a logo for your site, there’s 2 options – have one created by us, or launch the site with a text only name and tagline. The text only approach will work for a while, but as your business grows, you will doubtless find you need snappy business cards, maybe even letterhead for invoices, graphics for online and print advertising and more. Ever seen the back of a 5K or half-marathon shirt? they’re usually chock full of sponsors, well, every now and then there’s one that is just text  -and guess what? – nobody remembers that text being on the back of the shirt! Sorry to be blunt about it – but a good logo (or as those out of touch people used to say – a “mark”) will do a lot for your reputation and customer awareness, both on and offline!

Not convinced – here’s a quick test! take a fast, 3 seconds or so,  look at the following image: SHIRT SPONSORS. I’m betting your eyes fell on one of the sponsors that had a shape, a squiggle or suchlike by it? And put simply  -that’s all a logo really is  -a shape, a symbol, a squiggle – but an instantly memorable one that should (and will be if we have anything to do with it!) on every marketing “touch-point” we create for you. from your website to your Twitter avatar – your image is key, without it you’re just another statistic – with it, you have a much better chance of being remembered!
