1.Rules

The competition will run between 01/15/10 and 02/12/10. To enter you must do the following three things:

Andrew & Alex will announce the winner during the #kiltfeed on Wednesday 17th of February. The winner will have until Friday 19th of February to claim their prize by sending a direct message to @kiltedchaos

Bands, Musicians & DJ’s that enter the competition will be eligible to receive a 20% discount on all Kilted Chaos products and services in 2010

What Happens When You Win?

At the start of a new project we spend time talking with the client to find out what kind of sites they like, what designs they think are cool, features etc. In order to get the best out of us, we will ask you to identify 5 websites that you think are cool and be ready to talk about features that you like. We will do part of this process live during a #kiltfeed – this allows for input from the community as well as raising awareness of your project (and ours!)

We then take the information gleaned from the process and mock-up a design- we will allow for 1 round of back and forth between you and us and then we’ll build your new website. Once it is up and running, we’ll spend time with you to show you how it works. You will provide the content – we’ll set up the pages and show you how to title them so they are easy to be found, we’ll put a simple contact form with a spam filter, we’ll install a simple mp3 player and show you how to use it as well as producing easy to follow screen casts that you can refer to in the future.

It is in our best interests for you to be wildly successful, so we will provide ongoing support throughout the year as well as help you smoothly transition to your own host when the time comes. We’re not saying that we’re going to become your personal tech bitches but we will do our best to answer your questions and help you out whenever you need.

With all that being said, expect to have your new site up and running about a month after you have won the competition.

This competition is run solely on our terms and our conditions. We make no apologies for personal bias and are generally pretty open to being influenced. If you think you should have won, or if you win and think that you deserve $10,000 of site design and delivery – please read the wanker clause below.

Kilted Chaos reserves the right to refuse to work with wankers. Yes we work with social media but we’ve been working in online marketing, website design and business development for over a decade. We will deliver on our side but if you’re one of those people who are never satisfied and who likes to leave nothing on the table then we reserve the right to tell you to fuck off – in fact – if you know that you’re like this – then please don’t enter – it’ll save everybody a lot of time and hassle, thank you.
