You get a list of every music & new media site out there and spend the next 3 months registering your project, uploading music, pasting in images, videos & killer bio’s. Next you go to Hypemachine get their list of music blogs and spend the next few weeks sending out hundreds of emails with mp3s- then you sit and you wait for the fans and moolah to roll in.

If you’re a new project – there’s no point in having a presence on a network if you’re not going to participate in the community – and with so many sites and communities, which ones are right for you and where should you be investing your time?
